Thanks for stopping by! I’m Irene from antojossingluten (cravings without gluten) and here is where I’ll share my recipes and experiences about cooking without gluten, but with lots of flavor.
Like many coeliacs I met around, the beginning of this story begins as soon as your doctor gives you the glad tidings :S . Since then, you start discovering all a new world whole plenty of food intolerances, and discover that you can not make the purchase without looking at the labels and see each ingredient.
I am engineer of profession, photographer, reader. I cook as a hobby. My hobby linked to the kitchen probably comes from Argentina, influenced by my mother and my grandmother, from who my sisters and I were learned so many things… However, in a moment of my life the maelstrom of the work (and the various stages of academic thesis,) changing countries and cultures, and trying to adapt to gluten-free ingredients have made that increasingly devoted less time to enjoy cooking and eating. Return to the enthusiasm for cooking has been largely merit of Davide, who among other things taught me to appreciate the taste of the Italian local products and shared with me the enthusiasm for Asian flavors.
The world of the food and cooking has changed for me some years ago. With this new project, I love sharing now what have learned, trying to help others that have this intolerance or just have some friend or guest for dinner at home and want something special and of course gluten-free to cook.
Cooking is today for me a creative window in the middle of a life dedicated to the engineering and the research. A way to recreate flavors that make me feel a little girl again.
